Food Share Ministry

Partnering with FareShare Collections to demonstrate Christ's love through practical action, ensuring no one in our community goes hungry.

"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in."

Community Impact

Serving families across Banstead and Surrey through FareShare food redistribution, demonstrating Christ's love through practical action.

How Food Share Works

Our simple three-step process ensures fresh food reaches families in need while reducing waste

1

Collection

We collect surplus food from partner retailers before it goes to waste, including fresh produce, bakery items, and ready meals.

2

Sorting

Our dedicated volunteers sort and package food into family-sized portions, ensuring everything meets food safety standards.

3

Distribution

Food is distributed to families in need throughout our community with dignity and respect for all recipients.

Our Mission

"The church is linked with FareShare Collections—we share food received from Tesco, Waitrose, KFC, Nando's, and others with the underprivileged in the community."

This vital ministry embodies Jesus' command to feed the hungry and care for those in need, while also promoting environmental responsibility by reducing food waste.
